Hurricane "sandy" in NYC NJ Area (some delays)
Posted by AUTOTOYS.COM STAFF 1 on 29 October 2012 11:29 PM

11:30PM EST Update:

We are right in the thick of the Hurricane Sandy, we are in the NYC/North NJ area.

We have been without electricity for more than a few hours. We have distribution warehouses all along the east coast, which were closed today. PA (several), NJ (several), NYC, (several), etc.

We have incoming inventory shipments along with outgoing shipments which have been canceled or delayed by UPS : under "

EMERGENCY CONDITIONS BEYOND UPS' CONTROL"

We will continue to monitor emails and forums post around the clock, as we have portable laptops, dc/ac generators and portable MiFi Hotspots. However, we will spread out our response to save available power to our electronics. Hopefully we will have power back up soon.

If you have any questions, feel free to email us. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Storm "SANDY" in our area. Possible delays.
Posted by AUTOTOYS.COM STAFF 1 on 28 October 2012 03:33 PM

We are expecting a storm in our area. We are directly in the NYC area, right by the George Washington Bridge in NJ. From reports, a storm is going to hit is tomorrow which may bring 100mph winds, and supposedly a storm we've never seen in 100 years. If the forecasters are correct, we may slow or shut down operations tomorrow or a time afterward depending on the weather.

We may lose power, and safety is our concern. We also have distribution warehouses on the east coast, in NY (several), NJ (several), PA (several) and several other East Coast locations. The storm may affect these distribution points and the ability to ship out packages.

We will continue to monitor emails, and the forum as long a we have power and a connection to the Internet. Our phone system is also powered by electricity, if the power goes out, it may ring several times and right into a default mailbox. Normally our Phone System will pick up on the first ring.
Please anticipate slight delays in ship times if the storm is as bad as forecasted.

Thank you for your understanding.
