2004 Toyota Landcruiser Blitzsafe problem

I have the Blitzsafe toy m link 1 v2. Once connected, the headunit won't recognize it. Pushing the disc button does not play music from the ipod.
The headunit has 6 CD indash changer, no satellite navigation, no steering wheel controls.
The best I have been able to get out of it so far is to display CD1 track99 when I have a CD playing in the changer.
I have disconnected power to the headunit whilst the blitzsafe is connected without luck.
Please help.

Did you try to disconnect power from the radio and wait 5 minutes?

Yep. I tried disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes. I am hoping it is a faulty chip.
