So I was helping a friend install a deck into his 2000 galant, and after cutting his connector off cause he didn't want to have to order a new harness (which would have made things just that much easier) the +12v source I was going to use just stopped feeding +12v.
Would any of you have an idea why this would happen? A friend suggested something regarding the anti-theft stuff that is used in those cars, and it got me thinking.
Also, do any of you have a GOOD wiring diagram for this? I found a site that told me which speakers use which wires, and the accessory and memory wires and stuff.
Basically, why would the +12v wire stop feeding +12v, and am I going to have to find a new one from the ignition switch or somewhere else?
