    Default '04 Silverado Bose Stereo

    Hello everyone,

I have an '04 Silverado 2500 HD (quad cabin) with at factory installed 6 disk in dash Bose system and I'd like to put in a subwoofer amp. In doing so I'd like to try to find out what's the best way to pass the "RCA" signal to my amp. I understand that most amp install that keep the stock stereo end up using an RCA converter. The problem is that such route ends up leaving you with a low output or not clear output. Some times if not done right it even gives you engine noise.

Any one know the best way to add a sub amp to my truck without changing the stereo?

    Thanks,

    MG

Most full size GM trucks will have some engine noise with adding amps or changing the radio. Adding ground loop isolators and filters usually solves the problem.

We sell an add on Y harness which gives you RCA outs, then you can just pick a 2 channel amplifier and you are done.
