    Question What's the correct wiring??

    Bit long to read, but very simple query ..I took a JVC cd player out of an old car (1990 range rover vogue SE) to put in a 1999 toyota previa GS. I am confused about the wiring.
    Firstly, when i took the jvc head unit out of the old car, the red and yellow wires coming out of the back of the head unit were both connected to the same wire coming from the dash of the old car.
    Secondly, i have the wire harness for the previa, but am not sure which wire goes to which, because of the following reasons...

    I have already connected the 8 wires for all for speaker (i.e. front right +, front right -, front left +, front left -, etc...)
    Now i am left with a black, blue, orange, red and yellow wire coming from the head unit...
    and black, red, yellow, blue, and blue w/white stripe wires comin from the previa's wiring harness which I have already purchased.

    I would like to confirm which wire goes to which, before I plug in the head unit, considering;
    1- the yellow and red wires from the jvc used to go to the same connection in the old car (however I have connected them sperately, to the red and yellow wires comin from the car's wiring harness).
    2- I have different colour wires left after i connected the red with red, yellow with yellow and black with black....now i have an orange and a blue wire that are not connected, coming from the head unit, and a blue, and blue w/white stripe wire that not connected, coming from the previa's wiring harness.

    If some1 could help me on this simple problem, which took me a loooong time to explain, by telling me if this is right, and if not, wat else i need to do, or wat i should change? I would be very greatful. Thank you. BaZ

    First, please dont post duplicates of this message all over our forums. Thanks for helping us keep the clutter to a min.

    Here is the wiring for your car

    Your Yellow wire goes to CONSTANT 12 V
    Your red wire goes to SWITCHED 12 V
    Your orange wire goes to ILLUMINATION
    Your Black wire goes to GROUND
    Tape up the blue wire and leave it unconnected. It is the power antenna lead.

    MUCH easier if you buy a harness, You are NOT CUTTING WIRES RIGHT? DONT CUT IT. Buy a plug in harness,
