Default Got it in, but not working

I pulled and pulled and pried with a screwdriver, and I finally got the panel off. I installed the iPod/AUX adapter (PA11HON). I ran the wire down through the bottom.

I didn't have my iPod with me when I installed it, so I tried to test the AUX input. When I push the CD button, the radio just shows dashes. Pressing the 1-6 buttons didn't seem to do anything, and I didn't hear anything from the AUX.

I thought maybe it needed the iPod there, so this morning I brought my iPod Mini and connected it. The radio still shows dashes and the iPod doesn't seem to notice that anything is connected. Isn't it supposed to change to some remote mode, right? I've got both DIP switches ON. Shouldn't the iPod at least start charging?

Obviously, I'm now going to have to take the panel off again and dig back there to double check that none of the connectors came loose while I was putting the dash back together, but am I missing something else?

    1. Get the radio code.
    2. Leave the Pa11 PLUGGED Into the back of the radio. Make sure it is FIRMLY plugged in. It has to CLICK when you have it firmly inserted
    3. DISCONNECT THE RADIO PLUG (leave the Pa11 connected). This will relieve the power from the radio. Wait 2 mins. PLUG back in the power.
This will reinitialize the radio with the PA11 plugged in
    4. Hopefully, this SHOULD work for you.

BTW, if you want to use the AUX, the dip switch #2 should be set to OFF (it presets to ON). See the manual page 3

Will this work for a 2007 Odyssey EX as well? It has a in dash 6 CD changer but no NAV or RES. I am planning to connect my non-ipod mp3 player to van's speakers.
