93 Honda Civic LX Problem!

Hey...I have a 93 Honda Civic LX and I cannot get the cigarette lighter/adaper thing to work! I have checked the fuse panel (but I cannot find a diagram ANYWHERE of which fuse is which), but I have found no blown fuses and I pulled it out and everything was plugged into correctly and no wires were melted or anything.
Could my adapter itself be bad?? Or am I missing a fuse panel somewhere that has the cigarette adaper fuse in it?? Or could someone help me with a diagram of the fuses. Thank you for ur help cause this is driving me nuts!

Get a test light or a digital multimeter, turn the car on to accessory and see if there is 12 volt power going to the center terminal of the cigarette lighter.

Believe it or not, we work in a lot of cars and customers come back yelling at us about their cigarette lighter plugs not working, when in fact they have dropped a penny in the lighter, chewing gum foil or some other foreign substance inside the cavity.
