Sorry, I originally posted this in the wrong section (I think, probably should be here, not in Installers Only).
I have an Acura TSX and I would love to add my PPI 10's to the trunk. I was planning to simply step down the rear "subs" signal to feed the PPI amp, but having looked at the signal, it is already "shaped" (ie, massive boast to ~50 Hz with high and low rolloffs) which I don't really like. I would love to find and tap the original line signal and run that to an active crossover in the back. Has any one done this? I have no desire to replace the factory head unit, I am used to using it (and it drives the clock I discovered when it died a few months after delivery), I simply want to restore the joys of my PPIs which are now annoying my neighbors in my office at work. Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated.
