    Default Peripheral PXOD Adapter

Because I can't find a turn-key adapter for installing an ipod in my 2004 Jaguar S type (with Jag radio) I am looking at using a PXOD OmniDock adapter.

The PXOD apparently outputs the line audio via RCA connectors which I'll connect to the car radio using an FM modulator.

The PXOD also provides the ipod power/charging and ability to pause the ipod when the ignition is turned off.

My question is what happens when the car is re-started? Will the ipod start playing again automatically where it left off - or do you have to hit play/resume on the ipod for it to start replaying (where it previously left off).

Anybody have any experience with the PXOD (or similar/better unit)?

Comments, ideas and suggestions greatly appreciated.

I do not have first hand experience with the pxod so I cannot comment if the ipod will resume, I would assume no since the ipod will have to actively seek and monitor a signal in a paused state which I am sure it does not do.

You may also want to look at the I-AUX from DICE and the Cradle from DICE to dock it.
