Default 2000 Ford Explorer XLT- No Sound

I have a question regarding my audio system. I have factory speakers in the front driver and passenger doors and i have two alpines in boxes in the trunk that connect to the wires in the back passenger doors. I also have a 760 watt sub and an Alpine type X sub ( had a better amp but i believe it blew) and a Premier Pioneer deck. I am not getting any sound from the speakers only from the sub when it is hooked up to the amp. The speakers are not hooked up to the amp just to the deck. I have checked and rewired the amp and deck and i also checked the back speaker wire connections and they are fine too. They speakers stopped working after my orignal amp died out and now i have no sound in my car at all. I was wondering if anyone could help me out by telling me where to begin to look. All fuses are fine i checked and replaced them all.

    Cool Here's some Ideas

According to what I read, it sounds to me that you might have a problem with your radio. Pioneer are good radios, but they tend to short out their speakers outputs for no good reason. Sometimes they just go out. There are three possible problems with your situation. First, determine whether your vehicle has a premium sound system. If it does, then you need to hook up your remote wire from your deck to the corresponding turn-on lead in your factory harness. that will turn on your factory amps and it should give you sound. Secondly, check to see if any of your speakers is grounding out to the chassis. If any speaker terminal touches metal, it will kill all your sound. And third, It may be just your radio that burned out the outputs. Here's is another solution if that is the case...If you want to continue using that head unit, then get yourself a small inexpensive 4 channel amp and just use the rca outputs from your radio to run both amps. I've seen this problem a million times...Hope it helps!
