Default PXAMG behaving odd in IPOD mod

I'm having trouble with my PXAMG, i work great in XM & HD Radio mode but in IPOD mode when using any of the controls ie; track up or down etc, the display will show ipod disconnected then 2 seconds later ipod will connected then it will apply the function and continue like nothing happened. Now i have tried two different ipods one is a first gen nano (current firmware) second is an older 40 gig ipod (firmware current). I tried restarting the ipod connected to the pxamg (menu & center button) i also restarting not connected. I thought cable was loose but this trouble happens in motion or standing still. This is a great product BTW, and help would be greatly appreciated

P.s the vehicle is a 2006 honda ridgeline rtl w/ NAVI
