AIWA multi compatible?
Okay, so I just got my new car, and it came with an after market AIWA CDC-X217 stereo. It worked for a while, but one day the backlighting just stopped working. I was wondering if I can replace just the faceplate with another face plate. I asked my radioshack guy and he said that I could probably only do it with the same brand, AIWA, but he didn't seem to know what he was talkin about. Do I HAVE to use the SAME model or can it be any AIWA faceplate?

If I buy thy same model faceplate will it be compAtiible
As long as you buy the SAME exact radio, the faceplate can be interchanged
