    Default Hyundai SantaFE 2008 shuffle

I installed PGHHY1 in my 2008 SantaFe and everything appears to be working ok, I have iPod classic 160GB. I have one question how do I get my XM radio to shuffle songs when playing from my iPod. Before iPod is connected to my radio it is set to shuffle but once connected it will play only songs from the artist that was currently playing when it was connected to the radio.

Disappointing, there should have been mention of this problem on the product page.

If it will not shuffle what happens when tracks from the currently playing artist ”run” out, will it play them over in a loop or skip to next artist?

There is no mention of shuffle or random in the product description for the product because it is not advertised with such features or is it supported.

There are no ipod adapters that I know of that will shuffle songs, it is too intensive an operation because mp3s can range into the thousands.

I do not know if you select artist and if it plays artist if it will skip to the next artist, my assumption would be no.

I suggest you create a playlist with the songs you want and then play from the playlist.

Fair enough, I have two solutions for this, one discovered by me by accident other posted on another forum:

“I just created a playlist called Everything. If you select the playlist, you can shuffle by pressing the 3 button until Random Song is selected.”

“I also discovered that if I play something from playlist once iPod is connect it will not shuffle but if I chose shuffle songs on iPod, I assume this plays everything that is on iPod, once connected to the radio it will continue shuffling it.”
