Default Best Place To Ground Amp

Can someone please advise me on where the best place to ground a Kenwood amp would be that I am installing in a 1997 Ford Thunderbird? I am installing a Kenwood KDC-X693 head unit in the dash and placing a Kenwood KAC-8404 4-channel amp under the passenger seat. I am seeking advice on where to best ground the amp in order to eliminate noise that could possibly be caused by improper grounding.

    Thanks,

    Dennis

    Dennis,

If you are mounting it under the seat, I would ground it 1-2 feet away from the amplifier, using the same gauge wire you are using for the power. Right to the metal.
