I have a UK spec Lexus LS400, with a pioneer head unit and amp in the trunk/boot.
I bought an after market head unit to fit, but I found that my Meta adapter kit's amp integration plug does not fit. Then I realized that in fact I can get NO harness adapters at all for anything on this particular factory loom.
What I really want is a harness to fit on to the factory loom with either bare wires or ISO plugs on the end so I don't have to hack the factory loom. Preferably so I can use the door speakers ( sub-woofer not important ), factory antenna etc etc.
I have an LS400 1993 ( Mk2 I presume, UCF10 ) and there are a total of 4 plugs behind the old head unit, a small blue one, small white one, a medium white one and a larger white one. I understand that two plugs are for the amp and CD-changer ( in the boot/trunk ) leaving me with two plugs.
If I can't get an adapter harness, then a decent wiring diagram would be great so I can cut into each wire one at a time so the unit ( which has its own plugs on the unit end, bare wires on the other ) can be used in my Lexus.
Any thoughts at all, please let me know. Either pointing to a harness that might fit ( or can be made to fit ) or a complete wiring diagram for my model/loom. Again, the Meta/toyota amp integration harness does not fit this car's loom. So throw any of the typical plug/harness ideas out the window, I obviously need something far harder to get hold of, typically for me![]()
Many thanks !
Tim, UK.
