2004 Accord EX 4-Cyl 6-CD and iPhone 3GS

What would be the best AUX adapter for me? I have had some issues with accessories that worked with my iPod classic not working properly with my iPhone 3GS. Would I be better off using the headphone jack AUX input (http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=200) rather than the full function piece (http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=8024)?

It seems from looking around that installation is pretty simple... I have done some very basic mechanical stuff but no real audio installation - should I be able to do the installation? What kind of tools will I need?
