I want to remove a TRIAD car alarm system installed in late 1998 or so. I bought a used Mazda minivan without any remotes or instructions/schematics. My minivan has Power door locks. I want to carefully remove the old Triad car alarm wiring and install a good basic car alarm that will also manage my power door locks.
I have removed all lower dash/console skins and have complete access to all wiring. I also disabled the air bags as per the Mazda shop manual. The Mazda shop manual has great schematics and I also have a Chilton manual.
There's a lot of wiring under the dash and I just want to remove the useless Triad stuff. The minivan
and power doors operate normally at present.
Any guidance (especially for the removal of the Triad alarm) is greatly appreciated.
