Question help with Grom audio adapter in 2008 Honda Pilot

I have a 2008 Honda Pilot LX with the 6 disc changer and XM radio etc. I purchased the Grom adapter , your SKU_200 with the Y adapter. Installation went smoothly. Problem is I cannot get the input to work. The instructions which came with the Grom are vague at best. When I press CD or Aux buttons on the radio , nothing happens and I can only get the CD to play when I insert a CD. Where do I go from here. My order number was 41-101410-91176. Thanks

You will hit CD twice or aux twice to access the unit.

    Question Tried that and more

I tried the double click and did not work. Spent a good amount of time trying various approachs with limited success. When I disconnect my XM receiver plug from the Y harness supplied by Autotoys the Grom unit works great and responds when I press the Aux button on my OEM radio. I really like the GROM but I also like having my XM radio. When I reattach the XM plug to the Y harness and turn the ignition on and the radio the GROM unit also works and I can switch between AM/FM, XM, CD and AUX with no problem. The difficulty comes when I switch off the ignition and wait about 5 minutes and switch back and turn on the radio , NO AUX no matter how many times i repeat this on and off with the ignition and radio. I dont want to have to disconnect my XM radio every time I need the GROM unit to function. Any ideas ?

Thanks for the the link for the post to try. Problem is when I click on the link, it takes me to a password required page. I am already signed in so I do not know what password they want. I try a search on the topic and the only hit I get is this post with the link. How do I get to the link you reference. Thanks

I did manage to find the post you referred too and I followed the directions. I disconnected everything from the radio. I plugged back in the y cable adapter with the XM and aux adapter connected. I then connected the power and then the remaining two nylock connectors. Same scenario, It works fine untill I turn off the ignition and wait 5 minutes and then I am back to square one where when i turn the ignition and the radio back on the AUX button on the radio does not recognize the adapter. I have made arangements to return the aux adapter in hopes it is defective and that a replacement will work. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
    Thanks
