Issues with USA Spec PA50 vette

I installed the unit into the car per the install instructions and it doesn't always function properly. Sometimes I can still here the XM preview ch 0 in the back ground of my ipod music and I have also had it completely stop working while driving and it won't start working again until I let the car sit a little while? Any Ideas?
