Default No AVRCP with GROM-USB2 & GROM-BTX in 2006 Honda Accord (Without NAV or XM button)

I just received and installed my new GROM-USB2 device with the BTX bluetooth dongle for my 2006 Honda Accord.

The factory radio is not NAV and there is no XM button.

Everything works as expected (USB, headphone jack, bluetooth, micro-usb charger) except for the headunit/steering wheel controls of my phone via bluetooth. According to specification, it's supposed to. The AVRCP profile doesn't show up on my phone (HTC Incredible 2) when connecting to the GROM-CAR device.

I am expecting to be able to navigate the phone (answer call, hangup, next/previous, etc.) via the factory headunit/steering wheel controls as detailed in the user manual.

Might as well throw this out too - any ideas how to improve the sound quality of the bluetooth microphone? It seems to be a little choppy and nearly requires shouting to be understood at all, even with the microphone within inches of my mouth. (tin can syndrome) Sound quality of bluetooth output from the phone is stellar.

    Any ideas?

Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase, however I would like to get all of the functionality out of it that I can if possible.

    Hi

If you visit the "customer" part of this forum (bottom of forum) -- there are sticky threads which contain information on how to adjust parameters like the sensitivity of the microphone and other things. See you in there.

The password was emailed to you in an email when your order was "completed" and also it is printed on the back of your invoice.
